About me

I am a UKCP Psychotherapist in Training offering low cost Psychotherapy and Counselling. I am in my 4th year of working towards my Masters in Psychotherapy, a 6 year intensive process. Starting my Psychotherapy training felt like a natural progression from my previous career in supportive and therapeutic services. I have much experience working with people in times of difficulty creating an environment to be heard and to heal.

I have a warm, intuitive nature and see my core values of compassion and authenticity as vital in my work as a therapist. I strive to be with you in the depth of your difficulties and see this as a possibility for personal movement and development.

What I offer

I offer Psychotherapy and Counselling, which are both talking therapies designed to improve your mental well-being and help you handle life’s challenges. People often ask about the difference between the two. Very simply, Counselling typically addresses specific, short-term issues you’re facing right now, helping you become more emotionally resilient. Psychotherapy delves deeper into understanding yourself by exploring both past and present experiences to uncover and address the root causes of recurring problems, helping you transform how you navigate the world, it tends to be a longer process.

My approach is Integrative, this means I draw on different approaches to Psychotherapy to inform how I practise. Fundamentally I see the relationship we build as central to the therapeutic work as I believe that healing and growth happens in a relationship with another. At the beginning of the therapy we will be building the foundations of this, getting to know each other, establishing and nurturing trust.

I also believe that our past experiences and relationships significantly shape who we are and the struggles we face. By exploring these, we can gain greater awareness of how they influence us in our lives. That said, I think we are all born with a unique and individual essence and temperament and want to give space for this part of you to be valued. I aim to honour this by embracing what makes you unique and affirming your personal journey.

I offer 50 minute sessions and meet with you weekly. My fees are £30 per session. Please get in touch if you have more questions or would like to book an initial session.
