About our terms and conditions

Ownzone is operated by Ownzone Space Limited and is registered at Harolds Barn, Twyning Green, Gloucestershire GL20 6DF, registration number 11491886.

These terms and conditions apply to all therapists, consultants and other practitioners and individuals who hire a room at our premises at 9, Lansdown, Stroud, Gloucester GL5 1BB. Our rooms are made available for you to hire to consult with any client(s) of yours to enable you to provide therapy and counselling services according to your professional insurances and qualifications.

In order to use our facilities and services we require you to provide us with some basic information by completing a short online registration form.  This form asks for contact information, a description of your area of expertise, accreditation and confirmation that you hold current professional indemnity insurance which is applicable to the treatment that you are providing to your clients.  We reserve the right to verify any professional qualifications and insurance.

By providing these details to us, you agree that we may securely hold your personal information records and use them as required in our business.  This will always be in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Once you have completed the registration process and we have activated your online account, you are provided access to the booking and payment platform through the members’ website page. You will also be provided with your unique code to enter both the front door and the internal door for your client(s) consultation.

What Ownzone provides

  1. Ownzone commits to providing a comfortable, secure and private room for you to meet your clients. To this end, please alert us at info@ownzone.space of any maintenance issues, so they can be rectified in a timely manner. Ownzone does not supply panic alarms, as members are expected to ensure their own safety when arranging meetings with clients.
  2. Once you have booked and paid, you will be able to use your pre-selected room for the allocated time. Your door code will only activate the doors for your booked time. At all other times it will be deactivated.
  3. Ownzone will keep you informed of all pertinent news and information. Please inform us if you believe we are retaining or using your personal data incorrectly.

Ownzone’s requirements of its clients

  1. You must leave the rooms and common areas in a clean and tidy condition at all times. This includes:
    1. Mugs and glasses placed in the dishwasher.
    2. Rubbish put in the wastepaper bins.
    3. Switch off the overhead lights.
    4. Doors closed when you leave.
  2. We require confidentiality in all aspects of our services and your assurance that you will not share any login details, access codes or the use of any services with any third party.
  3. You or your clients will not use the space for any illegal, immoral or inappropriate purposes (drugs, alcohol, threatening behaviour, or any other purpose that is likely to reflect negatively on Ownzone or any of your fellow consultants).
  4. Smoking is not permitted within the premises, or in its immediate vicinity.
  5. Ownzone will hold you responsible for your clients’ behaviour, so please ensure that your clients behave appropriately whilst in the building. This includes any damage that may occur to the building or contents as a result of your booking.
  6. No excessive noise as to cause disturbance to others within the premises.
  7. For reasons of safety, no candles or naked flames at all.
  8. No animals are allowed other than assistance animals.
  9. You may only use your room during the time you have booked and paid for. Each session is allocated one and a half hours, enabling you to vacate the room promptly at the end of your session, leaving it clean and tidy.
  10. You may not transfer your membership details and subsequent usage of our premises to any third party.

Payment

  1. Your annual membership fee is £48.00. This membership entitles you to 48 Ownzone credits which may be used as payment towards sessions booked during that year (48 Ownzone credits equate to four sessions using one of our single/couples consulting rooms).
  2. Ownzone credits are used for payment of sessions. One Ownzone credit has the equivalent value of £1.00. Bulk purchases of Ownzone credits gives you a discount – the more you purchase, the greater the discount. Please see our Pricing page for more details.
  3. Additional Ownzone credits can be purchased in advance by debit or credit card or at the time of booking through the members’ section of our website.
  4. Payment with Ownzone credits must be made before the booking can be confirmed. Current fees for rooms can be found here and this may change from time to time.
  5. If at any time you wish to cancel your booking, we require you to cancel this via the members’ section on our website within 48 hours of the booking start time at which point your Ownzone credits will return to your Ownzone account. If cancellation is less than 48 hours, your Ownzone credits will be lost.

Insurance

  1. Ownzone insures the building and our contents. We require you at all times and at your own expense to have in place the appropriate insurance to guarantee that Ownzone, yourself and your clients are fully protected against any loss, damage or other liability that may be incurred.
  2. It remains your responsibility to ensure that insurance premiums are paid, and all appropriate insurances are properly maintained.
  3. We expect you to fully indemnify us against any loss or damage that we suffer as a result of you/your client’s actions or negligence or if you have contravened any of your obligations under these terms and conditions.

Your acceptance

Our terms and conditions form the basis of the legal agreement between us.

By taking membership with Ownzone and making a booking with us, you are acknowledging that you understand our terms and conditions and the fact that the use of any room and common areas within the premises will be subject to these terms and conditions.

By accepting our terms and conditions, you will ensure:

  1. Your information including your accreditations are correct and up to date. Please provide Ownzone with updated information at info@ownzone.space.
  2. No client of yours has been told of qualifications, experience or accreditations that you do not have.
  3. You have all the necessary consents and approvals to provide services to your clients and that there is no pending investigation or proceedings that might adversely affect your ability to provide services to clients.
  4. You are independently accountable and membership of Ownzone is not an endorsement or warranty of your professional status or competencies.

Termination

  1. You may terminate your membership at the end of your yearly membership. Any pre-purchased credits must be used whilst you are a member as they are non-refundable. You may renew your membership at any time.
  2. We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you immediately if any of these Terms and Conditions are not met.
