Rhodri Karim
I offer embodied, relational Gestalt psychotherapy – therapy that fosters a sense of wholeness, agency and ownership over your life and experience, by supporting you to more fully inhabit the here and now.
I have expertise in recovery from abuse, gender and sexuality, transitions and crisis, and integration of psychedelic, spiritual and extraordinary experience.
I work with the difference that makes you who you are: I’m committed to anti-oppressive practice, affirming of trans experience, and experienced in gender, sexual and relationship diversity.
I decided to train in psychotherapy as a way of integrating parts of my life that had always felt at odds – creativity, work, relationship, nature, sensuality and purpose. My training has taught me how to hold on to myself and my choices in overwhelming situations, and also to trust in what’s possible when two human beings become curious about and sit with their different human experiences.
I sit on the advisory board of psychedelic welfare charity PsyCare UK, and host their podcast Frontiers in Harm Reduction. I also serve on the committee for the C. G. Jung Public Lectures, Bristol.

I offer embodied, relational Gestalt psychotherapy – therapy that fosters a sense of wholeness, agency and ownership over your life and experience, by supporting you to more fully inhabit the here and now.
Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, unmotivated, or confused by the way things seem to play out in your life. You might be struggling with the injustice of past or current situations, living with hurt inflicted by others, or just curious about your own behaviour. Gestalt therapy is about getting to the heart of your experience, bringing presence and choicefulness to the way you exist in the world.
I draw from traditions in psychology, mythology, ecology, spirituality, and the arts, as well as my own life experience. My intention is to equip you with the tools and the confidence to become the artist of your own life.
