Emmie Rackham
I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor, supporting adults and adolescents with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, low self-esteem and bereavement or loss.
As a psychodynamic counsellor, my practice is based on the idea that by looking at our past experiences, we can better understand why we behave as we do in the present.
Each individual is shaped by their upbringing and past relationships, and by exploring this together, we can work towards greater insight, self-awareness and self-acceptance.
I have worked for Gloucestershire Counselling Service for a number of years as a staff counsellor and an assessor. I also work with young people as part of my private practice and have worked in several secondary schools.
At times in life, we all face challenges which may feel hard to manage. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, trauma, sadness, lack of confidence or stress, counselling has the potential to help.
Exploring thoughts and feelings can enable you to better understand yourself, your life and your relationships. It can help with seeing things from a different perspective, making positive changes, and developing strategies and resilience in response to life’s challenges.
I am an experienced and accredited counsellor and I provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which we can explore whatever is troubling you. I will listen and reflect in a non-judgmental way, offering empathy, kindness and understanding.
Sessions cost £55 and last for 50 minutes.
