Natalie Jarrett-Kerr
Helping children and young people in Stroud identify and manage their feelings through psychotherapeutic counselling.
Hi, I’m Natalie and my practice is called Olive Tree Counselling.
I am a person-centred, psychotherapeutic counsellor specialising with children and adolescents in Stroud and Online.
Separate to my private practice, I have previously worked for a large school in Swindon as the School Counsellor.
I specialise in helping children and young people that experience anxiety, panic attacks, gender dysphoria, disassociation and struggling to manage their emotions in everyday life.
My therapeutic model is integrative, which means that I can call upon a variety of modalities to best suit the needs of your young person.

To begin with, I offer a free 10-20 minute meet via a Google video call. This is a chance for your child or young person to meet me in a relaxed way and find out a bit more. And to meet the parent(s).
I aim to explore what’s going on at a deeper/unconscious level and look at any underlying trauma. I allow the client to lead me in a safe and boundaried space that I have created.
I help the client to discover grounding techniques when having processed difficult feelings, which they can aim to then implement into their every day life.
I offer a therapeutic relationship that is non-judgemental and accepting. I implement self-compassion, curiosity and awareness to help the client develop in these areas. I have special interest and experience in helping children and young people to manage anxiety and panic attacks. Helping them to identify their current triggers, past traumas and discover coping strategies. I implement self-compassion and mindfulness to help build resilience and self-esteem.
I work with feelings in the body to identify patterns of disassociation. I aim to bring psycho-education to the child or young people that I am working with to develop their understanding of good mental health.
“As a parent of a young person in need of help, it felt like a big responsibility to find the right counsellor. Natalie’s calm and gentle approach was just what was needed. My teenager found her manner reassuring and trustworthy. My own dealings with Natalie were always prompt, professional and supportive and I would not hesitate to recommend her.“ Parent of 14 year old, online counselling (2024)
“Natalie helped my son understand his emotions and develop his confidence and self esteem. She was kind, engaging and they developed a great relationship. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Natalie to any parent.“ Parent who’s child had online counselling (2022)
