I am a BPC psychotherapist in training offer low-cost psychotherapy. I am in my 3rd year of 4 working towards my accreditation.
Following a wide-ranging career, I understand the range of challenges and difficulties people face in life and now bring that experience to create an environment to allow healing to take place.
Therapy is a process where you can gain a deeper insight into how you see yourself and others and how you might sense others relate to you. These patterns are learned through relationship with others, and understanding these patterns can be best understood with someone by your side.
Much of the emotional life of people is kept private, through habit, fear, shame and a multiplicity of other cultural and individual factors, which seek to deny the importance and prevalence of feelings.
You may want help to find your way through something you can name, or it may be something that doesn’t yet have words.
Why psychotherapy rather than counselling? Counselling typically addresses specific, short-term issues you’re facing right now, helping you become more emotionally resilient. Psychotherapy delves deeper into understanding yourself by exploring both past and present experiences to uncover and address the root causes of recurring problems, helping you transform how you navigate the world, it tends to be a longer process.
Sessions are 50 mins and once weekly, at the same time each week. My fee is determined by my training organisation and is in the region of £30 – £50 per session, depending on circumstances.
