What I offer

I offer a safe, consistent and confidential space for people to bring and explore their experiences. My approach is integrative and I bring experience from both medical and psychotherapeutic backgrounds to support my work. I also bring experience from different traditions, ecopsychology perspectives, dance and other creative practice into my work, to help find the best way for people to work with the issues they choose to bring to therapy. I work with the whole person in mind, and am sensitive to people’s personal spiritual beliefs, and many different world views.

Body Movement Psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy that can help with both emotional and physical issues. Sometimes words alone cannot fully communicate our feelings and experiences. This type of psychotherapy uses and values the body, movement and creative processes alongside words within therapy to help guide, make meaning and transform personal experiences at a deep level. This is particularly useful in helping those with issues related to traumatic experiences, early life events or physical symptoms that are often hard to understand, talk about or to explain. Related issues include self-confidence, stress, experiences in early life, trauma, abuse, self-image, sexuality, relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety & depression, eating disorders, overwhelming feelings, unexplained physical symptoms, life limiting conditions, and the effects of separation and bereavement.

I also offer Professional Supervision, providing individual and group supervision for Arts Psychotherapists, Psychotherapists, Counsellors and other health care professionals and for those in training. I can supervise those working independently in private practice or for those working within organisations. I am also able to offer supervision to organisations wishing to source external supervisors.
