My approach is Person Centred, and I also use Solution Focused, Creative Method, Existential Therapy and Psychodynamic elements during my client work.

During my several years of counselling experience I worked in drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and also in private counselling practice. I have also been involved in EAP (Employee Assistance Programmes) as a telephone counsellor. I became a counsellor after teaching and fostering.

Some testimonials

“I have struggled with depressive periods for as long as I can remember. I felt particularly low following a split with a long-term partner. At this point, I decided to reach out for help and started seeing Monika every week; over a period of three years, I have completely turned my life around and have life achieved goals I never thought possible. I have learned to express emotions, and as a result, I have not had a depressive episode even in dire times. I am nearing the end of my journey with Monika and would thoroughly recommend counselling to anyone.”

“I have been suffering because of panic attacks for 10 months. Many times my anxiety level was so high, what I wasn’t able to handle. I couldn’t stop crying, I was terrified to die. Two months ago, after a very bad panicky episode I decided to reach out for help. I was looking for a therapist to help me to treat this disease. Then I’ve found Monika. I was scared first, as I’ve never had counselling before, but I didn’t regret I started. I’ve had therapy with Monika for 1 month and it helped a lot. I haven’t had a panic attack since we started and I feel significantly better. I’m really grateful.”
