Offering counselling across many areas, from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger and more.

About me

Having originally trained and worked as a mental health nurse in the NHS, I went on to train in Person-centered counselling providing a safe place to help you explore your thoughts and feelings. The aim is to empower greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, leading to positive growth and personal insights.

I am also particularly interested in mindfulness meditation and have studied Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and I practice mindfulness meditation daily.

What I offer

I offer counselling across many areas, from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger and more.

Whilst counselling can take place indoors, I also offer walking counselling as an option, in beautiful natural surroundings where the healing power of talking in nature can help you to reflect on your life.  When you walk, you have time and space to process your emotions, reflect on your feelings and listen to your inner voice, allowing you to be honest with yourself.

Talking in a naturally therapeutic outdoor setting can help reduce stress, anxiety, depression and anger as well as improving physical health, by reducing blood pressure, increasing fitness and well-being, healing the body, mind and soul.

For many, difficult feelings can arise during a counselling session, and, if desired, I can provide a variety of grounding and relaxation techniques which help you to go away from each session feeling safe and held.

My commitment to you is to ensure that you feel emotionally fit to go about the rest of your day when you leave the session.
